Neozyme & Ultra - Advanced Instrument Cleaning

What is meant by keeping instruments humid or wet?

To keep surgical instruments “wet” during and following surgery is to maintain humidity at saturation or near saturation levels in the vicinity of the instruments. This approach has a high likelihood of reducing protein adsorption and of making subsequent removal easier compared with the present “dry” approach in which humidity may be highly variable. It does not mean exposure to free aqueous environments by immersion.

A number of means are available to generate humid conditions, including the use of:
• Gels
• Foams
• Enclosed containers used with aerosol generators

Neozyme is designed to keep soiling on used surgical instruments moist prior to the start of the decontamination process, reducing the re-wash rate. It is a ready to use blend of high foaming surfactants, an enzymatic agent and a preservative.

By applying as soon as the operative procedure is completed, Neozyme keeps protein in soiling moist but does not remove it. Also stopping the salts within the contaminate from damaging the stainless steel instruments prolonging their life.

Ultra P
A patented solution to clean surgical instruments to molecular level, removing tissue residues, fluids and other pathogenic debris. Use as a pre-soak, in ultrasonic baths or for manual cleaning of surgical instruments.
