News - Ebiox Partners With GovToday for Healthcare Hygiene

September 01 2009

September, 2009—Ebiox Ltd, a Warrington-based supplier of advanced decontamination technology, has become the Hand Hygiene Partner for GovToday, the UK’s online resource for the public sector. Ebiox was selected for the role following the first of three major conferences being produced by GovToday to help reduce healthcare acquired infections (HCAIs).

Held in June in London, the first GovToday event, “Clean, Safe Care”, attracted more than 650 infection prevention clinicians, managers, academics, scientists and hygiene product manufacturers. As Hand Hygiene partner for GovToday, Ebiox and its non alcohol hand rub, Esense, will assume an even higher profile on both the GovToday website and at the next conference, entitled “Cleanliness, Codes and Compliance,” to be held in London on 14 October at Church House Conference Centre, Westminster.

“GovToday is fortunate to have the support of companies like Ebiox in promoting awareness of HCAIs and in developing new technologies to combat them,” said Annabelle McGuinness, Editorial & Content Director, GovToday. She continued, “It is vital that companies such as Ebiox, with their impressive cleaning and decontamination products, are active in leading Infection Control events like those produced by GovToday.” Conference details are available on the GovToday website.

According to Ebiox general manager Jeff Smith, such partnerships are “a real step forward in meaningful collaborations between manufacturers and end users of biocides. They can only have positive results for all concerned. Where else could a company like Ebiox have an audience with senior figures from the Department of Health, Care Quality Commisson and the National Patient Safety Agency?”
